Almost one year back, I started this blog. Showed so much enthusiasm to put some stuff for the first few days. Then like many a blogger, I started to forget that I have a blog . Today any way I am going to post something here.
My MTech course is over. I bid adieu to IIT Madras last month. To be exact, I came back home on 18th May. Today is 18th June. One month, I really enjoyed the vacation. Visited many of my relatives. Watched around 220GB of movies. :) . Yeah, I bought a 500GB external hard disk before my MTech course got over. Now it is time to start my preparations for going to Jamshedpur.
I am joining in TATA Steel, Jamshedpur on July 1st. There is no direct train from Trivandrum to TATA Nagar (Jamshedpur). So I am going to catch the Alleppy Dhanbad Express from Ernakulam. I am going on 26th of June along with my friend Srijith ,who is also joining there. I will be reaching there on 28th and we are asked to report to GT Hostel No 1, Kadma. My parents are also coming with me. This is for the first time I am going to Jharkand,which was once a part of Bihar. Today I realized that though I did my BTech in NIT Calicut ( Calicut is about 450 kms from my home) and MTech in IIT Madras. ( Madras is more than 900kms away from my home ), I used to get long vacations and used to stay at home for atleast 3 months in a year. But now I am going to Jamshedpur, which is more than 3000kms from my home and the frequency of visiting my home is going to reduce.
But I am very excited about my job. Joining in TATA Steel is going to mark an end to my 20 year long student life . (2yrs KG Class+ 12 years school+ 4 years BTech+ 2years MTech). I am going to join as Researcher in the R&D and Scientific Services Division, of TATA Steel.
