Am I suffering from discomgoogolation?

Where should I start? Start with the definition of the high fundae word that you have put in ur blog title...or better start with the circumstances that made you realize that u r suffering from that...Many of my friends (non IITians) believe that IIT life is very hectic and as I am in the second year of MTech, they suppose that I am busy with my project work... When ever I chat with my friends, they advise me to concentrate more on my MTech project and to stop wasting my time, staying online almost 24 hours a day.. The reason that I give for being online is : "We should utilize the facilities provided by the insti to the fullest extent" [:P]

But wait a minute..What are you doing in the cyber world for 24 hrs a day?? Dont say that you are searching for some thing that is related to ur project work, dont say that u r chatting with some one special..Yesterday, I realized that there are many people in the world who are facing the same problem as mine..They just keep on browsing the net for hours and finally end up forgetting what they were actually searching for. They feel stressed when they cannot access the internet.. One of my IIT Profs explained about such a situation and introduced this word, "DISCOMGOOGOLATION"to us .. Unfortunately, I am also suffering from that..[:(]

After that class, I was interested to know more about that. So I started WIKIing and I got some facts which I am putting here. The term is a combination of "discombobulate", which means to confuse or frustrate, and Google. Yeah, google has become a verb for us. " Do some googling dude" means " Do some search in the net". Nearly half of Britans - 44% - are discomgoogolation sufferers, according to a survey."A galaxy of information is just a mouse click away and we have become addicted to the web" .

I was not able to google out the way to get rid of that. :(
